Volunteering

The O’Hanlon Center functions well in part because of the time and resources donated by volunteers, both members and non-members and we need your help!  Can you devote time to help with administrative duties in the office?  We are looking for someone to start by September 2010 to work at least one full day, once a week or two half days twice a week. 

ADMIN ASSISTANT DUTIES

OVERALL:

--Utilize organization database and coordinate regular mailings

--Mail/email publications, including member newsletter, program postcard, and press releases

-- Manage files and documents

-- Maintain general correspondence

--Provide administrative and logistical support for planned programs and develop a working knowledge of the master calendar

--May be asked to assist with Web Site maintenance

--Make copies, answer phones, greet visitors

--Run errands

--Troubleshoot

--Coordinate volunteers for special events

--Assist at special events

Technical Skills:

--Filemaker Pro; MS Office; MS Word; Excel; Publisher; Adobe Contribute, Web

Other Essential Skills:

--Excellent communication and listening

--Excellent organization

--Ability to work independently

--Flexibility

--Self-motivated

--Good judgment

--Good at Taking and Following Directions
