“What IS it?”
“How’d you DO that?”
“Is that a photograph? Could be a painting or
maybe it’s a drawing. I’m not sure what it is.”
“What IS a photograph after all?”
Anticipate questions like these when you start getting creative with photo apps and exploring imagery that’s outside the bounds of traditional photography.
Start thinking about building an image, adding layers, transforming compositional elements, and seeing from new and unique perspectives.
Building on the iPhone camera, Snapseed, Camera+, and other smartphone apps, this four-session, workshop-based class will explore several additional, smartphone apps available for image-building purposes. Which apps will these be? You’ll need to be there to find out!
Facilitators will assume participants’ familiarity with the iPhone camera as well as some prior experience with Snapseed and Camera+. This workshop environment will include both presentations and demonstrations plus time for personal explorations and idea exchanges.
Participants will need to purchase 4 or 5 inexpensive apps as well as a thumb drive.

A few years ago Daniel Patrick began to take photos exclusively with his iPhone. “The ease, exceptional quality and photo-journalistic opportunity quickly became apparent. By using special apps I was often able to re-interpret the image to make it unique and personal.” To see some of his photos go to https://www.murphyproductions.com/photos
