Beginning Bookbinding: Sewing the Long-Stitch Book w/ DEREK BACCHUS
November 11 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Learn how to sew the Long-Stitch book, a simple book form that has been used since medieval times in Germany.
This is a non-adhesive structure that has both an exposed spine, yet the book’s pages are also sewn directly to the cover. In this workshop the cover will be a flexible and soft beautiful suede leather, and incorporating a smooth. rounded leather cord to wrap around the entire book. These make excellent sketch journals, with the perfect paper of your choice.
