Haiku Reading w/ CHUCK BRICKLEY
September 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Local haiku master Chuck Brickley reads from his recently published collection EARTHSHINE—winner of the Touchstone Distinguished Books Award 2017. Brickley’s poetry speaks from a deep communion with nature, as well as a personal assimilation of the venerable Japanese aesthetics wabi, sabi, karumi and, among others, mu. Brickley & friends also perform several haibun from RAVEN, a work-in-progress that combines haiku with prose. In conjunction with the O’Hanlon Center’s annual wabi sabi exhibit.
