Solar Etching w/ LARRY STEFL

January 20 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

The image is three tonal variations from a photo taken in Italy of a window scene with glassware by workshop artist Sonja (on the right).

Explore the unique mark-making qualities of solar etching working with non-toxic water based Akua inks.  I am excited to introduce solar etchings derived from photographs, original drawings  and images from online.  The black and white image will be exposed from clear acetate to a light sensitive solar plate with a light box.

With the inking process you can work with a full range of tonal variations.  No experience necessary and all levels are welcome!
