In conjunction with OHCA’s Bay Area Women Artists gallery show, we are proud to present our second annual Local Women Writers Series featuring readings from acclaimed female writers based in Marin County. The series features four readers a night, each sharing a passage from a recent book, essay, short story. A Q&A session with the audience and group discussion with the panelists follows.

Peller Marion is the author of Shopping Lessons, Searching for the G Spot, Crisis-Proof Your Career, Career Tune-Up, and a forthcoming book called Age of Grace, Challenges to Attaining Elder Wisdom. Peller earned her MFA in fine arts at University of Washington and is currently on the faculty of Dominican University Graduate School. She also has doctorate in psychology from University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She has led workshops at Esalen Institute and Book Passage in Corte Madera and leads workshops nationally. Ex-president, board member, and member of OHCA since 1988, Peller facilitates the Artists Roundtable at OHCA, a monthly forum for exhibiting artists in OHCA’s Gallery shows.
Jessica O’Dwyer is the adoptive mother to a daughter, age 10, and a son, age 7, both born in Guatemala. She writes about adoption and family at her blog, mamalitathebook.com. Jessica’s memoir, Mamalita was published by Seal Press in November 2010 and will be available for sale.

Susan Trott has published 16 novels, the most recent of which, Flamingo Thief, will be a movie in 2013, starring Will Ferrell, and produced by Ben Stiller. Susan will be reading from About Bunin, a story that will be published in West Marin Review in August, 2012. Susan’s popular book, The Holy Man, will be available for sale and signing.
