Art & Design: Dan Cassidy

Exhibition Opens:
February 9, 2021

I started the Artifacts project in the spring of 2020. Being on lockdown and needing to keep my creative juices flowing I joined the O’Hanlon Photography Group. For one of the zoom meetings there were prompts as fun photo projects and one was to photograph objects from your kitchen. I set up a mini studio on my dining room table using a cardboard box and a few sheets of printer paper, and a couple of strong flashlights. After I had exhausted everything interesting in the kitchen, I went through my toolbox, my office supplies and ornamental objects around the house.

I have recently refined my setup, using small clamps and blank canvases instead of cardboard boxes and printer paper but I always have my little lights nearby in case I am inspired by an object.

Each photo is available as a 12” x 12” image for $240 (unframed).

Other sizes can be available upon request.
