The last 10 months have been the most creative time in my life. The dive into oil painting after a lifetime of watercolors was pivotal. Whether it’s the aging process, recent social strife or the trials of the last few years, it coalesced in an immense outpouring of work from deep within me.

This selection of recent works documents the path I’ve been on…

BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Sausalito, I’ve been an artist since I began drawing as a small child. I pursued my art through college and beyond. I spent 10 years in New York City and then returned to Marin County in 1989 settling in Novato.

I’ve been on the Board of directors at MarinMOCA for many years and found the O’hanlon Center by lucky happenstance. I’ve been coming to O’Hanlon for the last 5 or 6 years during the artist retreats and have found it to be a creative haven.

Due to Covid, O’Hanlon Center for the Arts closed its galleries but decided to rent out the O’Hanlon Gallery. This glorious space became my studio. I put away my watercolors, pulled out my oils and got to work.

It’s been a time of artistic meditation and a big slice of heaven.
