Both juried by Suzanne Gray of Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley
Artists are welcome to apply to BOTH shows. Since the online exhibition has the same theme as the in Gallery, you can submit the same work to both shows. You may also submit different work to each show. If you submit to both shows, TWO entry fees are required. The juror will make the final selections.
ABOUT THE JUROR: Suzanne Gray, a resident of Mill Valley, grew up in upstate New York and studied journalism and art history at Syracuse University and San Jose State. In 2011, she joined forces with Donna Seager and together they formed Seager Gray Gallery. She has overseen both commercial and residential programs and her knowledge of the art market, sophisticated eye and understanding of art placement have gained her the trust of her clients. As a curator, Gray has teamed with Seager to create the ambitious program of monthly exhibitions for which they have become known. www.seagergray.com

Notification & Pick-Up Dates:
Artists notified by Tuesday, Feb 1 at 5 p.m. of juror’s choices
Pick-Up of non-selected works: Feb 7 & 8, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. or by appointment
Entry Fee: $30 O’Hanlon members, $40 non-members
- Open to all artists age 16 and over
- Submission limit: 3 works per artist
- Works previously displayed in the O’Hanlon Gallery are not eligible

Description:
One Color: Infinite Possibilities.
How expressive can you be utilizing a single base hue but employing as many of its shades, tones and tints as you require? Monochromatic colors are all the colors of a single hue. Monochromatic color schemes are derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints. For example, in the Blue spectrum we have Azure, Cobalt, Cerulean, Ultramarine, etc. Reds might include Garnet, Crimson, Rose…the possibilities for explorations within each hue are endless. [Black and White compositions ARE Monochromatic.]
For inspiration, consider a few well-known artists who explored the possibilities of working in monochrome: Agnes Martin, Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter.
Contemporary, expressionistic, abstract, exploratory,
and/or experimental entries encouraged
O’Hanlon Center for the Arts emphasizes the creative process and the continued pursuit of meaning and authenticity through observation, exploration, and experimentation.
Media:
All Media, including 3D / Sculptural works
Art Preparation:
- All work must be ready for display
- Wall hung pieces must be securely wired
- Label all work with Artist’s name, telephone, medium, size & price
- Bring resume and/or artist statement, if desired (2 pages max.)
Artwork Sales:
Buyers will pay Artist directly for any art sales.
ENTRY PROCESS:
- Carefully check Dates/Times. Late delivery of artwork is not allowed.
- Please hand-deliver (no slides or digital submissions) up to three pieces of work to:

SUBMISSION
You may upload three pieces of artwork for this show.
The image must be 1–5 MB
NOTE: Diptychs and Triptychs are considered one piece of work. Diptychs and Triptychs must be submitted as one image. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept film or video at this time.

Gallery Policies/Requirements include:
- Open to all aged 16 and over
- For most exhibits, not all artists will have artwork selected for showing. Final artwork selections are up to the Exhibit Juror(s) and/or Installer/curator, both of which vary from show to show.
- Accepted work must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition.
- Artists agree to make a 30% tax-deductible donation to OHCA from all sales.
- While all reasonable care is taken with submitted artwork, OHCA strongly recommends that exhibiting artists carry their own insurance. OHCA and representatives will not assume any liability for any damage or loss.
- By submitting work, artists agree that photographic images and/or video of the artist and/or their artwork, in whole or in part, may be used by OHCA for publicity in various forms including print, online and social media.
- Work previously shown in a juried Gallery show at OHCA is not eligible
Publicity: By submitting work, artists agree that photographic images and/or video of the artist and/or their artwork, in whole or in part, may be used by OHCA in various forms including but not limited to print, online and social media, for the sole purpose of publicizing this show.
