Long time facilitator at OHCA, Kris Gordon will offer a day of exploration and perception exercises. Kris’s approach to art was forged through her connection with Ann and Dick O’Hanlon back in the 1970’s.
Kris continues and expands the legacy of Ann O’Hanlon’s approach to the creative process. She will help you explore your innate creativity and encourage you to take artistic risks in a safe environment without judgement.
About Kris:
In 1972 I met Ann and Dick O’Hanlon. I was doing sculpture at the time. I talked with Dick and we roasted hot dogs in his forge. Very soon I joined Ann’s workshops. I knew both until their deaths. I went with Ann to their cabin in Tahoe and to the workshops in Yosemite. I began co-teaching with Ann. Later I facilitated Perception Workshops at the Art Center through College of Marin. I taught printing on the press for a while and a number of weeklong workshops for teachers and others. I have been painting since 1973. Ann gave me another way to see art – a wonderful gift. I feel most thankful for all these years at O’Hanlon Center. I have met the most wonderful people, interesting and gifted.
