“retreat” is a humorous exploration of playwright and solo performer Margery Kreitman’s journey as she navigates her way through a month-long silent retreat.
As she strives to find inner peace, she struggles with following the rules and overcoming her aversions to just about everything. Her fervent dislike and obsession with a young, self-righteous yogi she nicknames Lululemon, nearly pushes her over the edge.
“Kreitman describes this piece as “slouching toward inner silence.”
