O’Hanlon Center’s week-long ARTIST RETREAT: a 5-day opportunity for artists to work independently but in the company of other dedicated artists.
Learn to use unique techniques with collage, oil sticks, tempera, acrylics, and oversized paper, while forgetting all preconceived ideas and judgements.
Inspired by crocheted coral reefs made from fiber, we will give you the tools to explore making 3-D hyperbolic shapes, which resemble the structures of coral and other structures found in nature.
Learn many techniques to create exciting and unique mixed media weavings, on a simple loom (supplied for you).
Sculptor Christie Close will demonstrate ancient and innovative hand-building methods for making sculpture. We will each design, plan and create our unique clay sculpture during the weekend.
